The authorities announced traffic diversions for routine maintenance work at the Karnaphuli Tunnel on 26-31 August.
A press release has been issued Sunday by the Bridges Division of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges.
During those days, traffic movement will be controlled in the “Patenga to Anwara” tube between 11pm and 5am, the release said.
The division noted that, depending on traffic volume, passengers may need to wait between five and up to ten minutes at both ends of the tunnel.
The authorities expressed gratitude to the public and requested cooperation to ensure safe and effective routine maintenance of the Karnaphuli Tunnel.
