Bangladesh cricket is set to witness an unprecedented initiative as national team jersey sponsor Robi will deliver 10 cricket kits for every 100 team runs scored in the upcoming Bangladesh-Pakistan ODI series.
A similar initiative was seen during the last ODI World Cup when ICC partner DP World donated 10 kits for every 100 runs to grassroots cricket. However, this is the first time such a programme will take place in Bangladesh.
A source close to the development told Times of Bangladesh, “For every 100 runs, Bangladesh National Team sponsor Robi is providing 10 bags of cricket kits to young and underprivileged cricketers from various academies.”
“This initiative aims to support grassroots cricket in Bangladesh and is a collaboration between the Bangladesh Cricket Board and kit sponsor Robi,” the source added.
The three-match ODI series begins on 11 March at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, with the remaining matches scheduled for 13 and 15 March.
