Model Zeba Takia has responded after her name surfaced in allegations made by model and actress Snigdha Chowdhury.
She issued an audio statement addressing the controversy surrounding Ashiyan Group Chairman Nazrul Islam Bhuiyan, her past interactions with him, and her relationship with Snigdha.
According to Zeba, she was once invited to an office in Gulshan-2 with the promise of a tk50,000 television commercial for Ashiyan City Hospital.
However, she alleged that instead of discussing the advertisement, she was asked to quit modelling in exchange for having all her expenses covered.
She said she rejected the proposal immediately, left the office and later blocked the individual’s phone number.
Zeba also said she currently has no contact with Snigdha and does not personally know Snigdha’s former boyfriend.
She questioned why her name was being linked to the ongoing dispute.
She further disputed Snigdha’s reported claim of charging no less than tk2 million per project.
She argued that such fees may be justified for established stars like Apu Biswas, Pori Moni or Jaya Ahsan, but not for someone with only one film and limited recognition as a model.
