Unidentified miscreants shot and killed a youth in Raozan upazila of Chattogram on Saturday afternoon.
The incident took place around 5pm in Rashider Para of Ward 9 under the municipality.
The deceased was identified as Md Alamgir, also known as Alam, son of Abdus Sattar of Siddik Chowdhury Bari in the Chowdhury Market area.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
Eyewitnesses said officers took control of the situation after reaching the scene.
Several pairs of shoes, including a woman’s sandal, were found at the spot.
Raozan Police Station officer-in-charge Monirul Islam said an investigation is underway and searches are being carried out to identify those involved.
