These intriguing questions are explored in the new web series Young Sherlock. Set in the 1870s, the series presents Sherlock as a rebellious and daring young man. Here, he is not a renowned detective, but an ordinary student at Oxford University. After getting entangled in a murder case, he finds himself drawn into an international conspiracy.
Hero Fiennes Tiffin plays the role of Sherlock in the series. The cast also includes stars such as Colin Firth and Joseph Fiennes. Guy Ritchie, who scored big with Sherlock Holmes (2009) starring Robert Downey Jr., has directed the first two episodes of this series. The eight-episode show is set to premiere on March 4, 2026.
There is more good news for Sherlock fans. Entertainment analyst Daniel Richtman has revealed that work on Sherlock Holmes 3, featuring Robert Downey Jr., will begin very soon. However, the actor will start shooting for the film only after completing his work on Marvel’s Avengers series.
