Xiaomi Bangladesh plans to launch the REDMI 17 in August 2026, positioning the smartphone’s 7,500mAh battery, fast charging and strengthened glass protection as key features in the mid-range market.
The upcoming handset will offer as much as 2.32 days of typical battery life, 45W Turbo Charging, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and a dynamic RGB light design, Xiaomi Bangladesh said in a press release issued in Dhaka on 28 July.
The company is targeting users who increasingly rely on smartphones for work, entertainment, communication and content creation but remain concerned about battery life.
Xiaomi said the REDMI 17’s 7,500mAh battery would allow users to remain connected for longer without frequently searching for a charger.
Its 45W Turbo Charging system can charge the battery to 50 per cent in 45 minutes, according to the release.
The company said a 35-minute charge would provide enough power to keep the device operating throughout the day, reducing downtime for users.
The REDMI 17 will also feature Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, providing increased resistance to accidental drops and scratches associated with everyday use.
Xiaomi said the durability feature, combined with the handset’s dynamic RGB light design, would give the device a premium appearance and help distinguish it in the mid-range segment.
The company is also pitching the smartphone as an entertainment device, with up to 91 hours of music playback and as much as 16 hours of YouTube Shorts streaming from a single charge.
The handset combines extended battery performance, fast charging, improved durability and everyday user-focused features in one package, according to the release.
Xiaomi Bangladesh said further information about the exact launch date, price and availability would be announced through its official Facebook page and website.
Xiaomi Corporation was founded in April 2010 and listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2018.
