The two-day ‘Power of She: Women Summit and Exhibition 2026’ concluded on Sunday at the Elite Convention Hall in Gulshan, Dhaka. Organised by ‘Power of She’, the event aimed to highlight the role and importance of women in the national economy.
The summit, which commenced on Saturday morning, focused on the theme “The Role and Importance of Women in the National Economy” and featured the slogan “She Leads, She Shines.”
The exhibition hosted 38 stalls, showcasing a wide range of domestic products, including clothing, handicrafts, lifestyle items, homemade food, skincare, jewellery, and various creative initiatives. It served as an important platform for local entrepreneurs to display their work, according to press release.
To support emerging business owners, the event offered special opportunities, stall allocations, and mentorship programmes for new entrepreneurs. The summit attracted a diverse audience, including media personalities, women entrepreneurs from across the country, corporate representatives, investors, policymakers, students, and professionals.
The event was open to the public, with no registration required for attendance.
The second day’s proceedings included a panel discussion on women’s mental health titled ‘Moner Kotha Khule Bolun’ (Speak Your Mind). The closing session also featured a special segment dedicated to Mother’s Day.
Sabina Sabi, Chairperson of the ‘Power of She’ Trust, remarked that the organisation has been working since 2017 to promote women’s empowerment, skill development, entrepreneurship, and health awareness. She noted that the summit has provided an effective platform for women entrepreneurs since 2020.
“This event will play a significant role in promoting women’s leadership, entrepreneurship development, and domestic products,” Sabi said.
The venue remained crowded throughout the event, with visitors and buyers, and entrepreneurs reported busy sales. A live performance by the “Dhaka Community Band” was a major attraction during the festivities. The two-day summit concluded with a cultural programme featuring poetry recitations and music.
