Warfaze will pay tribute to pop icon Michael Jackson with a special concert titled ‘Michael Jackson Tribute’ on July 31 at the Hall of Fame venue of the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in the capital.
The concert is being jointly organised by Brandmith and Mars & Co.
Organisers said Michael Jackson’s influence on global pop culture remains unparalleled, with his music, dance, videos and social messages continuing to resonate with audiences around the world. They described the event as more than a tribute, saying it would bring together two distinct musical traditions in a unique live experience.
The show will feature rock reinterpretations of some of Jackson’s most celebrated songs, including ‘Thriller’, ‘Billie Jean’, ‘Black’ or White’ and ‘Human Nature’, alongside Warfaze’s signature rock sound. The band is expected to present the songs through its own instrumental arrangements and vocal style.
Warfaze has been a prominent name in Bangladesh’s rock music scene for more than four decades. The band is known for a catalogue of popular songs including ‘Obak Bhalobasha’, ‘Purnota’, ‘Ekti Chele’, ‘Dhup Chaya’, ‘Jononi’, ‘Proticchhobi’, ‘Dhushor Manchitro’, ‘Alo’ and ‘Moharaj’.
In addition to Michael Jackson’s classics, the concert will also feature performances of Warfaze’s own hit songs, offering audiences a musical journey that blends international pop with Bangladeshi rock.
The announcement has generated excitement among fans on social media, with many describing it as one of the most anticipated live music events of the year.
Organisers said ticket sales will begin soon and will be available through the online platform Get Set Rock. Music enthusiasts have been advised to purchase tickets early, as seating capacity is limited. They have also been encouraged to follow the event’s Facebook page and organisers’ digital channels for updates on schedules, song lists and other event-related information.
Organisers described the concert as a celebration of music, creativity and admiration for one of the world’s most influential performers, aimed at both Michael Jackson fans and followers of Warfaze.
