Mirza Abbas has stated that voting has been proceeding smoothly so far, but any form of election engineering will not be accepted.
The Dhaka-8 constituency, which includes the areas of Motijheel, Shahbagh, Ramna, Paltan, and Shahjahanpur under the Dhaka South City Corporation, is represented by Mirza Abbas.
He cast his vote at the Mirza Abbas Women’s College polling centre at 12pm.
Speaking to the media after voting, he stated, “So far, I have not seen any situation where the voting process has not been fair.”
Regarding the allegations that his rival candidate Nasiruddin Patoari’s agents were prevented from entering the polling centres, he said, “I am not aware of the allegations.”
