A youth-led organisation has brought the spirit of Eid to over 100 underprivileged street children in the capital, ensuring they too can share in the festive joy.

The United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) organised “Eid for Street Children 2026” on Friday at Bishwa Shahitya Kendra in Banglamotor, Dhaka.

The event went beyond merely distributing gifts, aiming to create a genuine celebration for children who often miss out on Eid festivities. Volunteers engaged the children in various creative activities throughout the day, including Eid card making, henna application, and storytelling sessions.

Each child received new Eid clothes, allowing them to feel fully part of the celebration. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and a strong sense of togetherness as volunteers spent quality time interacting with the children.
