BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday called upon non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) to unite in the effort to rebuild Bangladesh.

“I have one appeal to you, let us come together today around one common cause, and that is Bangladesh,” he said while addressing a session of “NRB Connect Day: Empowering Global Bangladeshis” at the New York Marriott Marquis in Manhattan, New York.

In his remarks, Fakhrul emphasised the importance of vision and commitment. “We must always keep one thing in mind—we have to dream. The dream envisioned by Muhammad Yunus must be carried forward,” he said.

He noted that what the nation needs most now is a renewed sense of commitment. “Previous regimes destroyed public confidence and brought the country to ruin,” Fakhrul added.
