Veteran playback singers Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu have reunited after 21 years for Suniyo Zara, the first song from Sunny Deol and Ravi Kishan’s upcoming film Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak. Singer Anupam Amod also joins them on the track, which celebrates friendship and cherished memories.
According to NDTV, Zee Music Company has released the song, composed by RAAHEE, who is associated with Pritam’s JAM8. Priya Saraiya has written the lyrics. The music video features Sunny Deol and Ravi Kishan on a journey together, with shared experiences and memories highlighting the bond between their characters.
The collaboration marks a notable reunion for fans of 1990s Bollywood music. Narayan and Sanu last recorded a song together for the 2005 film No Entry. Their track, Kahaan Ho Tum, was their previous collaboration. Their latest work also brings the singers back to Sunny Deol’s films after 24 years. They previously worked together on his 2002 film Karz – The Burden Of Truth.
Speaking about the reunion, Udit Narayan said in a media statement that singing with Sanu again brought back a cherished chapter of his career. He added that Amod’s participation brought a fresh yet familiar energy to the collaboration and expressed hope that listeners would feel the connection in every note.
Sanu said the song goes beyond music to celebrate friendship, memories and the happiness of coming together. He described the track as special and said he was pleased to offer audiences something heartfelt and timeless.
Amod called the opportunity to work with the two veteran singers an honour. He said Suniyo Zara captures the emotions of companionship and shared journeys, adding that he was proud to contribute his voice to the song.
Suniyo Zara is the first song released from Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak. Kamal Mukut presents the film, which Deepak Mukut, Hemmant Mukut and Lokesh Mukut produce. M. Padmakumar directs the crime thriller, which is scheduled to reach cinemas on 20 November 2026.
The film has also drawn criticism from the Indian Medical Association (IMA) over its portrayal of doctors and violence against medical workers. The organisation has objected to what it considers an unfair generalisation of the medical profession.
