United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Plan Medi Trip Ltd, a leading medical tourism facilitation company, to offer preferential rates and complimentary services for overseas medical treatment to UCB employees, their family members, Priority Banking customers, and Credit/Debit cardholders.
Under this partnership, eligible beneficiaries will receive exclusive benefits for medical treatment in India, Thailand, and Malaysia, reads a press release.
The benefits include complimentary airport transfers, preferential inpatient treatment rates with savings of around 5 to 10 per cent, and visa assistance for India, Thailand, and China with discounts of up to 50 per cent.
The agreement will also facilitate priority medical visa processing for Thailand, reducing the processing time from approximately 10 to 12 working days to three to five working days.
Additionally, beneficiaries will receive complimentary treatment plans, cost estimates, and invitation letters, as well as support for treatment arrangements involving multiple hospitals.
Eligible beneficiaries can access these services by presenting their UCB Debit/Credit/Prestige Card, Visiting Card, or ID Card.
The MoU was signed at UCB’s Corporate Head Office. Chief Human Resources Officer Syed Hasnain Mamun represented UCB, while Chairman Saikat Bhadra and Managing Director Flora Nazneen Neela signed on behalf of Plan Medi Trip Ltd. Senior officials from both organisations were also present at the ceremony.
The partnership reflects UCB’s continued commitment to providing value-added services that enhance the experience of its employees and customers, particularly when seeking medical treatment abroad.
