In Dhaka’s Gulistan area, two individuals were handed over to police on suspicion of being Awami League activists. The incident took place outside the Awami League party office, which has been officially barred from functioning.
Eyewitnesses said the pair were allegedly loitering with intent to cause disruption. Members of various political groups at the scene apprehended them and handed them over to law enforcement.
Sub-Inspector Al Amin, who was on duty, confirmed: “The two are suspected of involvement in Awami League activities. They are being taken to the police station for verification, after which necessary action will be taken.”
