Comedian and host Jon Stewart has sharply criticised Donald Trump during a recent episode of ‘The Daily Show’, questioning the president’s conduct amid ongoing tensions involving the US and Iran.
Stewart mocked Trump’s public demeanour, suggesting it appeared unfocused and inappropriate given the seriousness of the situation. He argued that the president’s behaviour contrasted with expectations of leadership during a period of conflict.
The segment also took aim at figures within the administration, including Robert F Kennedy Jr, after remarks praising Trump’s knowledge and leadership. Stewart responded sceptically, calling for clearer evidence of the president’s decision-making and strategy.
Clips shown during the programme included Trump discussing luxury pens during a cabinet meeting, which Stewart used to underline his criticism of what he described as misplaced priorities.
