Mobile courts have imposed fines totaling Tk 315,550 in nationwide drives conducted to monitor the fuel situation.
The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources said in a statement on Friday that 293 drives were conducted across 62 districts.
In these operations, 78 cases were filed over various irregularities, with fines amounting to Tk 315,550.
The ministry said magistrates from the energy division are conducting daily mobile court drives at different locations in Dhaka to ensure compliance in the fuel sector.
The drives will continue on Saturday in Dhaka and surrounding areas, the statement added.
The ministry also urged citizens to report any suspected irregularities or malpractice to the vigilance team through designated contact channels.
