Detective Branch police have arrested three people with 87 bottles of foreign liquor from the Gulshan area of the capital.
The arrestees are Mohammad Masud, 48, Abdul Kader Siddique, 38, and Ranjit Bala, 47, who were detained during a raid in the Gulshan police station area around 12:30am on Tuesday.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Media and Public Relations Muhammad Talebur Rahman said a zonal team of the Detective Branch Gulshan Division carried out the operation at the Raw Canvas Restaurant in Gulshan-2 based on secret information.
During the drive, the team seized 87 bottles of foreign liquor and arrested the three individuals from the restaurant, he said.
A case has been filed in connection with the incident and the arrestees have been sent to court.
