BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on Wednesday expressed his sincere gratitude to the country’s Pirs, Mashayekhs, Alems, Ulemas, Imams, and Khatibs.
Tarique’s appreciation came following several media report stating that a number of Islamic leaders have voiced their support for him.
The BNP chairman stated that at this historic juncture for the nation, the stance taken by the country’s top Islamic scholars would provide the public with the correct guidance. He noted that this clear position by the Ulemas would play a vital role in countering propaganda against BNP, a party that believes in Islamic values.
Tarique expressed his belief that ahead of election, the people would receive proper direction to establish their political and social rights.
Reiterating his thanks, the BNP leader sought continued cooperation of respected Islamic leadership to establish a safe and humanitarian Bangladesh for all citizens – regardless of party affiliation, opinion, religion, or caste – guided by Islamic values.
