BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman held a special meeting with leaders and activists of the Dhaka-17 constituency, in a bid to strengthen the party’s preparations ahead of February elections.
The meeting took place at the BNP Chairperson’s Office in the capital’s Gulshan area on Tuesday. Tarique met with Banani Thana leaders in the morning and Cantonment Thana leaders in the afternoon.
The party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir, along with senior leaders at the thana level, were present there.
Nasir stated that this meeting was part of a series of discussions regarding the election. He mentioned that Tarique Rahman would identify the specific issues facing voters in the Dhaka-17 constituency and make commitments to address those concerns.
