Taijul Islam has created history by joining Durban’s Super Giants in the SA20. The left-arm spinner is the first cricketer from Bangladesh to be part of the tournament.
However, inside sources suggest that his place in the squad might only be temporary. The franchise has brought him in as a formality while they continue to work on signing a well-known international star.
Reports indicate that Durban’s Super Giants faced some complications in finalizing that deal. As a result, Taijul was added to the roster for the time being. Once the signing of the big name is complete, Taijul is unlikely to remain with the team.
This means the Bangladeshi spinner may not even get the chance to play in the league despite being officially listed as part of the squad.
