The Swiss Ambassador to Bangladesh Reto Renggli paid a courtesy call on Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam and State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat on Tuesday.
The meeting, which took place at 10:30am in the conference room of Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, focused on making the existing bilateral relationship between two nations more robust, dynamic, and multidimensionally expanded.
During the discussion, Switzerland expressed a keen interest in working jointly with Bangladesh within the aviation sector.
Specifically, Ambassador Renggli conveyed the interest of a Swiss company named Swissport in managing ground handling operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
In response, the minister and the state minister invited Swiss side to submit formal proposals and assured them that the matter would be given due consideration.
