Zahir Uddin Swapon has joined as the political adviser to the prime minister, presenting his joining letter to Tarique Rahman on Sunday.
On Sunday afternoon, the recently former information and broadcasting minister visited PM’s office at the Bangladesh Secretariat, where he handed over his joining letter to Tarique.
The Cabinet Division issued a notification on Saturday appointing Swapon as the prime minister’s political adviser with the status of a minister. This followed his resignation from the post of information minister on Friday.
