Eid-ul-Fitr has been celebrated in Jashore with due dignity and religious solemnity. State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Aninda Islam Amit offered Eid prayers at the Jashore Central Eidgah at 8am on Saturday.
Before the prayers, he extended Eid greetings to the nation. During this time, he said the current world is in a global crisis due to Middle East situation. The government is working to tackle this crisis, and public cooperation is extremely essential.
Aninda stated, “Everyone must be frugal to deal with the crisis. Even if the war stops, its impact will be long-lasting worldwide. Like the rest of the world, we must also be prepared.”
Deputy Commissioner of Jashore Mohammad Ashek Hasan also delivered a greeting speech. The prayers were attended by Jashore District Council Administrator Delwar Hossain Khokon, Deputy Director of the Local Government Division and Jashore Municipality Administrator Rafiqul Hasan, Chief Executive Officer of the District Council SM Shahin, and Jashore Press Club President Zahid Hasan Tukun, along with people from various professions and classes.
The second congregation was held at the Jashore Central Eidgah at 9am. A large number of devotees participated in both congregations. After the prayers, special supplications were offered seeking global peace and prosperity.
