Tollywood director Raja Chanda and actress Paean Sarkar have announced that they are expecting their first child. The couple shared the news on 3 July, which also marked Raja Chanda’s birthday.
According to The Hindustan Times Bangla, the couple kept the pregnancy private for months. Only close family members and a few trusted people knew about it.
They chose the director’s birthday to reveal the news and celebrate the special moment together.
Reports confirm that Paean Sarkar is six months pregnant. Doctors have advised her to take complete rest. She now follows strict medical guidance and focuses on her health and the baby’s safety. The actress, known for her role as antagonist Iman in the television serial Shubho Bibaho, has stepped away from new work commitments for now.
Raja Chanda continues his professional work and travels between Kolkata and Mumbai. He manages his schedule while ensuring proper care and support for his wife during her pregnancy.
Paean Sarkar shared the announcement through a birthday post for her husband. She also confirmed the pregnancy in the same message. Photographs from the post showed her baby bump clearly.
In her message, she wrote: “Happy Birthday, Mamma… Thank you for making my life so beautiful, safe and full of love and care. This year, we are celebrating you with a little more happiness and the warmth of extra hugs.”
