This year’s SSC and equivalent exam results have been published, with a pass rate of 62.25 per cent.
Under the nine general education boards, 1,404,539 candidates sat for the SSC exams. Of them, 899,610 passed, and 106,009 achieved GPA‑5.
Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon announced the results on Monday morning. The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Education’s conference room on Monday.
Both the overall pass rate and the number of GPA‑5 achievers have declined compared to last year.
In 2026, the Madrasa Education Board recorded a pass rate of 55.49 per cent, with 6,716 students securing GPA‑5. Also, the Technical Education Board posted a pass rate of 58.20 per cent, with 3,951 students achieving GPA‑5.
A total of 402 students sat for the exams at nine overseas centers this year. Of them, 354 passed (pass rate 88.06 per cent) and 48 failed. One center recorded a 100 percent pass rate, while no students passed from another center.
Female students outperformed boys in the results. In the general education boards, 107,982 more girls passed than boys. Girls also led in GPA‑5 achievers, with 11,401 more girls securing GPA‑5 compared to boys.
