Popular television actress Sreemoyee Chattoraj is reportedly preparing to return to the small screen after taking a long break from acting following the birth of her second child.
Sreemoyee had stayed away from the spotlight for several months before welcoming her son. Although she has recently appeared at several public events, she has yet to return to television.
That may soon change, as reports suggest the actress will make her comeback alongside comedian and actor Kanchan Mullick.
According to media reports, the real-life couple will share the screen in an entertaining cooking-based programme featuring a variety of games and challenges.
Sreemoyee and Kanchan may participate in the show as contestants, although the makers have not officially confirmed the details.
Several other familiar faces are also expected to take part in the programme.
Filmmaker and director Raj Chakraborty is reportedly behind the cooking-based entertainment show, with shooting already underway. Actor Ankush Hazra is also expected to host the new game-based programme.
However, everyone involved has remained tight-lipped about the project, and no official statement has been issued so far.
Sreemoyee was last seen on television in the serial Milon Hobe Koto Dine. The show ended after a short run, following which she chose to focus on her family.
She later welcomed her second child and remained away from regular television work.
Kanchan, meanwhile, continues to appear regularly in television serials and also has several big-screen projects in his schedule.
If confirmed, the new programme will mark Sreemoyee and Kanchan’s first major on-screen appearance together since becoming a family.
