Khulna Division claimed their second win of the season as Soumya Sarkar and Sheikh Mahedi Hasan guided them past Chattogram, despite a fine five-wicket haul from off-spinner Nayeem Hasan.

Resuming the final day on 52 without loss, Khulna were already in control through openers Amit Majumder and Soumya. While Amit fell early, Soumya continued his excellent form, scoring his second fifty of the match — a solid 71 featuring seven fours and a six. Mahedi provided strong support with an unbeaten 50 off just 49 balls to seal the win.

Although Nayeem Hasan’s five wickets kept Chattogram in contention, Khulna’s middle order ensured there were no late jitters as they secured their second victory in the opening three rounds.

Rajshahi began the final day chasing 241 with all ten wickets intact, but Barishal’s spinners dismantled their innings. Tanvir, who took five wickets in the first innings, added four more in the second, while Mishu also picked up four.

Rajshahi’s openers Sabbir Hossain (33) and Mizanur Rahman (25) made a steady start before Mishu broke the stand. Tanvir then struck twice in an over to dismiss Imon Ali and Shakhier Hossain Shubhra, triggering a collapse.

Despite some resistance from Rahim Ahmed (33), Nihad Uz Zaman (29) and Ali Mohammad Walid (14), Rajshahi were all out for 191. Tanvir and Mishu finished with four wickets each, giving Barishal a deserved 54-run victory — their first of the season after one defeat and one draw.
