Sophos, a global cybersecurity company, has been named a Champion in the Omdia Cybersecurity MSP Ecosystems Leadership Matrix 2026, the company said in a press statement, in recognition of its managed detection and response (MDR) scale, partner programme innovation and integrated cybersecurity portfolio. The recognition highlights Sophos’ position in supporting Managed Service Providers (MSPs) with tools and services that expand their ability to deliver security solutions to customers globally.
Omdia, an analyst firm that benchmarks the global cybersecurity channel, assessed 24 vendors across partner programme execution, managed services enablement, portfolio competitiveness and ecosystem momentum in the 2026 evaluation.
According to Sophos, its MDR service currently protects more than 40,000 customers worldwide directly, and a further 235,000 customers through MSP partners, making it one of the most widely adopted managed security offerings in the industry.
The report also highlighted Sophos’ recent product developments, including Workspace Protection, which is built around the Sophos Protected Browser and integrated into the Sophos Central platform. The solution is designed to help partners secure distributed workforces operating in modern digital environments.
Sophos was one of only three vendors recognised in both the MSP Ecosystems Leadership Matrix and the companion Omdia Cybersecurity Platform Ecosystems Leadership Matrix 2026. The dual recognition reflects the company’s broader enterprise position and platform strength, particularly following its acquisition of Secureworks in early 2025.
The MSP-focused matrix also underscores the growing importance of cybersecurity vendors providing scalable, integrated platforms that enable service providers to deliver 24/7 protection across organisations of varying security maturity levels.
