Actor and presenter Shahriar Nazim Joy caused a stir online after posting a list of 15 leading actresses on his Facebook page at 2:38 PM on Thursday, 5 March.
In his post, Joy shared a screenshot of a document naming the actresses, explaining that a newly launched major company had sent him the list for a product advertisement. The company reportedly conducted extensive research to select potential models for the campaign.
Joy added that the list gave him a clear sense of which actresses currently enjoy the highest market demand.
The screenshot featured names including Bidya Sinha Saha Mim, Tasnia Farin, Jaya Ahsan, Pori Moni, Nusrat Imrose Tisha, Apu Biswas, Nusrat Faria, Shobnom Bubly, Azmeri Haque Badhon, Purnima, Puja Cherry, Safa Kabir, Mehazabien, Tanjin Tisha and Sabnam Faria.
Joy noted that the list strikes a balance between new and veteran artists. While he acknowledged that one or two other in-demand actresses might be missing, he believes the 15-name selection is sufficient to gauge the current brand value and market position of stars in the entertainment industry.
