Shah Rukh Khan has finally responded to the buzz surrounding his absence from Kajal and Twinkle’s hit celebrity talk show ‘Too Much with Kajal and Twinkle’, after fans flooded social media with speculation over why Bollywood’s biggest star had yet to appear.
Speaking on a recent podcast, the actor addressed the issue head-on, and in true SRK fashion, mixed honesty with a generous dose of humour. He explained that his ongoing shoot for his upcoming action drama King has consumed most of his time, leaving little room for TV appearances. He also revealed that he had been dealing with a hand injury during the same period, further limiting his schedule.
But it was his playful, self-deprecating quip that sent the moment viral. Jokingly, he said, “I wanted to go but there’s a problem. They serve too much food on that show!”
Khan then offered a warm public apology to the hosts. “To Kajal and Twinkle, I truly apologise for not making it. I should have been there. But I’ve watched every episode to make up for it,” he said.

The light-hearted exchange arrives at a time when Shah Rukh and longtime co-star Kajol are back in the spotlight following the unveiling of a bronze statue in London celebrating their iconic ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ characters, Raj and Simran.
The tribute has renewed global nostalgia for the pair, adding further fuel to conversations about their onscreen legacy and, now, their off-screen banter.
