Samsung Electronics retained its position as the world’s top television brand for the 20th consecutive year in 2025, with a 29.1 per cent share of the global TV market by revenue, according to market research firm Omdia.
The company has led the global television market continuously since 2006, driven by sustained investment in premium display technologies and product innovation, Samsung said in a press release.
Samsung first secured the top position in 2006 with its Bordeaux TV and has since introduced innovations such as LED TVs in 2009 and smart TVs in 2011.
It later expanded into design-focused models such as Serif and Frame, followed by advanced display technologies including Micro LED, Neo QLED 8K, OLED, QLED and UHD.
The company’s 2025 television lineup, particularly the F Series, focuses on performance upgrades powered by Vision AI, offering features such as AI Picture, upscaling, Adaptive Sound Pro with Dolby Atmos and AI Customisation Mode.
Additional features include AI Energy Mode, generative wallpaper, universal gestures, glare-free displays, Knox security and SmartThings connectivity.
Samsung Bangladesh Consumer Electronics Director and Head of Business Shahriar Bin Lutfor said the global performance reflects strong customer trust in the local market.
Bangladeshi consumers have grown with Samsung over the past two decades, moving from early flat-screen televisions to premium display technologies, he said.
This trust has been built through consistent product quality and innovation, he added.
Samsung TVs have been recognised as a Superbrand in Bangladesh and the company has one of the widest retail networks among global television brands in the country.
With products across multiple price segments and screen sizes, Samsung remains one of the most recognised television manufacturers globally and plans to expand its display technologies and product portfolio further, the company said.
