Shanta Asset Management Limited (SAML) and Hossain Mumlook & Co (HMC), Chartered Accountants, have partnered to enhance financial literacy and promote disciplined investment habits among articled students of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB).
The programme will focus on teaching students how to develop sound financial habits early in their careers, connecting their professional growth with financial discipline. Students will be encouraged to make regular monthly investments, with HMC matching their contributions. These investments will be placed in the Shanta Fixed Income Fund, providing stability and managing risk.
Additionally, the initiative will include workshops, seminars, and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen students’ financial awareness.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday by SAML CEO Kazi Monirul Islam and HMC Founder and CEO Md Mumlook Hossain.
“This programme is about more than just technical skills; financial awareness and disciplined investment are key to long-term success,” said Mumlook Hossain.
Kazi Monirul Islam added, “This partnership will create a generation of finance professionals with strong financial responsibility.”
SAML Vice Chairman Arif Khan and Consultancy and Capacity Building Director Naba Krishna Muno, along with other officials from both organisations, expressed optimism that the collaboration will foster financial responsibility and long-term planning among Bangladesh’s next generation of finance professionals.
