Small-screen favourites Abdun Noor Sajal and Ashna Habib Bhabna are set to share the big screen for the first time in the upcoming film Jajabor.
Directed by Tanvir Hasan, the film is scheduled to begin shooting at the end of this month.
Sajal and Bhabna officially signed contracts for the project last month. Preparations for filming are currently underway, with the director planning to begin shooting by the end of August.
Both actors have been familiar faces on television for years. Although they have appeared together in several television dramas, Jajabor will mark their first pairing in a feature film.
The film is being described as a story centred on survival, adventure and conflict.
According to director Tanvir Hasan, almost every scene will carry elements of mystery and suspense. The story itself led him to cast Sajal and Bhavna as the central pair.
“There will be mystery throughout the story alongside adventure and conflict. We are planning the film in a way that keeps audiences engaged until the very end,” Tanvir Hasan said.
The director added that around 80–90 per cent of the film is planned to be shot in one continuous schedule. After a short break, the remaining portions will be filmed.
Sajal said he liked the story and believes audiences will enjoy the film if it is executed properly.
Speaking about working with Bhavna for the first time on the big screen, he said he was happy to collaborate with the talented actress.
Bhabna is also optimistic about the project. Describing Sajal as an experienced actor, she said she was impressed by the story and hoped the entire team would be able to deliver a quality film for audiences.
Tanvir Hasan has written the story, dialogue and screenplay of Jajabor.
Alongside Sajal and Bhabna, the film features Fazlur Rahman Babu, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Ivan Sair, Sadman Samir, Atika Afsana, Tanvir Masud, Omar Malik, Sohel Rana and Iqbal, among others.
The film is being produced under the banner of Cine Media.
