Nurul Islam Saddam has been elected the new Central President of Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir for the 2026 session.
He was elected on Friday through the direct vote of the organisation’s members at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Conference Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka.
The election was based on votes cast by members through a democratic process at the organisation’s central members’ conference. The same day, Sibgatullah has been elected secretary general of the organisation.
Prior to this, Saddam served with efficiency as the central secretary general of Chhatra Shibir. Even before that, he worked for a long time as the ‘Ccentral office secretary’ of the organisation.
In his academic career, he obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Economics Department of Khulna University. This student leader is currently completing a Post-Graduate Diploma in “Entrepreneurial Economics” under the University of Dhaka.
