Russell Crowe’s 2025 World War II drama Nuremberg has emerged as one of the world’s most-watched films on Prime Video, giving the historical thriller a fresh boost months after its theatrical release.
According to Deadline, the film has climbed into Prime Video’s global top 10 streaming chart. The renewed popularity comes as Crowe prepares for a busy slate of upcoming projects, including Highlander, the reboot of the 1986 fantasy classic directed by Chad Stahelski.
Crowe is currently training for his role in Highlander, which also stars Henry Cavill, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Jeremy Irons, Djimon Hounsou and Marisa Abela.
Released in 2025, Nuremberg earned more than $70 million at the global box office. It opened in fifth place in the US box office, behind Predator: Badlands, Regretting You and Black Phone 2.
Based on the 2013 non-fiction book The Nazi and the Psychiatrist, the film stars Crowe as Nazi leader Hermann Göring opposite Rami Malek, who portrays psychiatrist Douglas Kelley. The historical drama received positive attention following its release and also generated early awards-season discussion.
Crowe has several other projects in development. These include the crime drama Unabomber for Netflix, the espionage thriller Billion Dollar Spy, adapted from David E. Hoffman’s 2015 book, and the historical drama The Last Druid, directed by William Eubank.
The actor also recently released The Get Out on video-on-demand. The thriller reunites him with Unhinged director Derrick Borte and co-stars Luke Evans and Aaron Paul. The film became available on VOD at the end of last month after earning less than $1 million during its limited international theatrical run.
Nuremberg is currently available to stream on Prime Video.
