Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza is back at number one among all rounders in the latest ICC Men’s T20I rankings. The new update reflects strong shows from players in the ongoing T20 World Cup.
Raza helped Zimbabwe reach the Super Eights. He scored 45 against Sri Lanka in Colombo and 27 against West Indies in Mumbai last week. These efforts pushed him past Pakistan’s Saim Ayub to the top spot. The two players have traded the number one place many times in recent months.
There is also new pressure in the list. India’s Shivam Dube climbed two places to seventh. Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi moved up three spots to eighth after good performances.
In the batting rankings, India’s Abhishek Sharma stays at number one. He keeps a lead of 62 rating points over England’s Phil Salt, even after a quiet start to the World Cup. Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan, the tournament’s top run scorer, jumped two places to third and reached a new career best rating.
Ishan Kishan rose three spots to fifth. Dewald Brevis made a big jump of 10 places to ninth. Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran moved up to 13th. West Indies captain Shai Hope climbed to 14th. England skipper Harry Brook rose 10 places to 18th after strong outings.
In the bowling rankings, India spinner Varun Chakravarthy still leads the table. He holds the top place despite an expensive match against South Africa in the World Cup.
South Africa seamer Corbin Bosch is the biggest riser. He jumped 21 places to third after taking three wickets against the UAE and returning figures of 2 for 12 against India.
West Indies pacer Matthew Forde moved up 23 places to seventh. India’s Jasprit Bumrah climbed seven spots to eighth. South Africa’s Marco Jansen rose to joint 19th. West Indies spinner Gudakesh Motie advanced to joint 21st. England’s Liam Dawson gained 23 places to reach 23rd after a strong week.
