Bangladesh Railway will begin selling advance train tickets for Eid-ul-Fitr from 3 March, authorities announced on Tuesday.
To facilitate passengers, the authorities will sell 100% of the seats online this year as well.
The sale of return tickets will start on 23 March. Tickets for the two zones will be sold in two separate phases. Tickets for all intercity trains operating in the western region will be available in the morning.
Meanwhile, tickets for all trains running in the eastern region will go on sale in the afternoon. The authorities also announced that five pairs – comprising a total of 20 special trains – will be added for the Eid.
