Pubali Bank PLC has inaugurated its 518th branch in Ishwarganj, Mymensingh, expanding its network with a focus on modern banking services and local economic activity.
Pubali Bank PLC Deputy Managing Director Md Shahnewaz Khan formally opened the branch as chief guest, according to a press release.
Pubali Bank PLC Head Office General Banking and Operations Division General Manager Md Faizul Haque Sharif attended as special guest. The programme was presided over by Mymensingh Region Head and Deputy General Manager Mohammad Humayun Miah.
Speaking at the event, Pubali Bank PLC Deputy Managing Director Md Shahnewaz Khan said expanding banking services is vital to support Bangladesh’s economic growth, facilitate trade and commerce, and strengthen savings and investment activities. He said the new branch in Ishwarganj will provide residents with access to modern and convenient banking facilities.
He added that the branch is expected to boost savings mobilisation, loan disbursement, remittance services and other financial activities, contributing to the area’s economic development.
The branch manager, local dignitaries and business representatives were present at the ceremony. Following the inauguration, the chief guest, along with other guests, also launched the Cashless Ishwarganj initiative.
