Pubali Bank PLC has signed a partnership agreement with bKash to introduce 24/7 automated cash management services for bKash agents, distributors and partners across Bangladesh.
Under the arrangement, bKash’s nationwide network of agents and distributors that hold accounts with Pubali Bank will enjoy instant fund transfers, real-time settlements and improved liquidity management beyond traditional banking hours, said a press release.
The deal was signed in presence of Mohammad Ali, managing director and CEO of Pubali Bank, and Kamal Quadir, CEO of bKash, at the bank’s head office in Dhaka.
Md Rabiul Alam, deputy general manager and head of the alternative delivery channel division of Pubali Bank, and Moinuddin Mohammed Rahgir, chief financial officer of bKash, penned the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The event was attended by Ahamed Ashraf Sharif, head of treasury at the mobile financial service company; Endra Mohan Sutradhar, general manager, head of software development and CTO of Pubali Bank; and Md Helal Uddin, general manager and head of ICT operations, among others.
