After winning audiences over as a rockstar in Abhiman, popular Tollywood actor Prosenjit Chatterjee is set to appear in a completely different role on the big screen.
In Doctor Kaku, he plays a doctor.
The film was initially scheduled to hit cinemas on 4 September, coinciding with Teachers’ Day.
Prosenjit announced the release date in July while unveiling the film’s official poster.
However, Doctor Kaku will no longer be released on that date. According to a new announcement, the film will now arrive in cinemas on 18 September.
Prosenjit himself announced the change on social media while sharing a new poster for the film.
The poster presents the Kolkata star in a striking look as a doctor.
It features a weighing scale, with stacks of money on one side and a critically ill patient on the other, while paper planes fly across the sky.
Alongside the poster, Prosenjit wrote, “Money is valuable, life is priceless. The date may move from September 4 to 18, but let the day change—Doctor Kaku is coming!”
The reason behind the change in the release date has not yet been revealed.
Directed by Pavel, Doctor Kaku also stars Riddhisen, Tulika Basu, Srilagna Bandyopadhyay, Suchandra and others. Pavel himself appears in a special role in the film.
