A re-edited version of ‘Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka’, starring Shakib Khan, is set to be screened in Italy following its Eid release in Bangladesh.
Directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud, the film did not fully meet pre-release expectations and faced technical issues, including problems with prints, during its initial run in local cinemas such as Star Cineplex. Despite these setbacks, it continues to run in theatres across the country.
The revised version will be screened in Venice on April 18 and in Rome on April 20. Production house Creative Land Films confirmed that the film has been re-edited, with improvements made to sound, colour grading and visual effects following audience feedback.
Set in Dhaka’s crime world of the 1990s, the action drama features Shakib Khan in the role of a powerful gangster.
The cast also includes Tasnia Farin, Jyotirmayee Kundu, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, alongside Rashed Mamun Apu and Intekhab Dinar.
