Prime Bank PLC has concluded a month-long Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme in Natore, aimed at bolstering the skills and competitiveness of local business starters.

The programme was conducted under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), an initiative funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), reads a press release.

It was implemented by the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance, with support from the SME and Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank.

The training aimed to enhance business capacity, foster innovation, and improve industry competitiveness. A total of 25 aspiring entrepreneurs completed the comprehensive course, gaining practical knowledge and essential competencies for sustainable enterprise development.

Md Ayub Ali, Joint Director of the SME and Special Programmes Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank and Deputy Programme Director (DPD) of SICIP, attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest.

During the event, he emphasised the vital role of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth and highlighted how collaborative initiatives like SICIP create a more innovative business ecosystem.

The ceremony was presided over by Prime Bank PLC Senior Vice President and Regional Head Md Abdul Halim.

Prime Bank PLC Head of S Business and Refinance Shaikh Nur Alam attended as the Special Guest. He reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs through dedicated financial solutions, refinancing facilities, and tailored banking services for small businesses.

Through such initiatives, Prime Bank PLC continues to support capacity building and inclusive economic growth within Bangladesh’s entrepreneurial landscape.
