Prime Bank PLC has been honoured as the “Best Bank for ESG in Bangladesh” at the prestigious Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that the bank has received this distinguished recognition, reaffirming its leadership in responsible banking, reads a press release.
The achievement reflects the bank’s sustained commitment to integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles across its strategy, operations, risk-management practices, and financing decisions. Euromoney’s Awards for Excellence are regarded as a leading international benchmark of achievement in the banking and finance sector.
The “Best Bank for ESG” distinction specifically recognises institutions demonstrating exceptional leadership in sustainable finance, responsible governance, and social impact.
According to the bank, this recognition highlights its continued progress in strengthening ESG governance and expanding green and sustainable financing to support Bangladesh’s transition towards an inclusive and climate-resilient economy.
