Actor Zahid Hasan has reunited with director and writer Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz after a long break for a new drama titled ‘Pothhara Mon’.
The love story features Khairul Basar, Tanzim Saiara Totini and Deepa Khondkar alongside Zahid Hasan. Dr Ejajul Islam and Monira Akter Mithu will also appear in important roles.
Director Raz said ‘Pothhara Mon’ explores love, relationship struggles and human emotions. He said the story has been written in a way that viewers can find reflections of their own lives in the drama.
Raz last directed a project featuring Zahid Hasan in 2018. The seven-episode drama ‘Chelemanushi’ aired on Boishakhi TV.
“After a long time, I am very happy to work with Zahid bhai again. His acting skills have added a new dimension to the drama. At the same time, I have found a wonderful team combining experienced and young artistes,” Raz said.
Zahid Hasan said his previous experiences working with Raz have always been positive. “It is a pleasure to work under his direction again after so many years. The story feels very genuine, and the character I am playing is quite challenging. The shooting environment is also excellent,” he said.
Shooting for ‘Pothhara Mon’ began on 10 July in Uttara, Dhaka, and will conclude on Tuesday (14 July). Zakia Hossain Trisha wrote the story, while Asad Zaman and Raz prepared the screenplay.
The drama will be released soon on the Cinemaowala YouTube channel.
