Registration has begun for parents of students enrolled in Class VI (school and madrasah) in 2026, as well as Class XI and Alim first-year students for the 2025–26 academic session, to receive stipends from the Prime Minister’s Education Assistance Trust (PMEAT) through their Nagad accounts.
To register new students, users must log in to [https://hsp.pmeat.gov.bd/login](https://hsp.pmeat.gov.bd/login) using their User ID and password. From the menu, they need to select “Primary Selection” and click on “New Student Entry.”
After entering the student’s personal details, address and socioeconomic information, the data must be verified and saved. The registration window will remain open until 7 May 2026, reads a press release.
For opening a Nagad account for this purpose, the mobile SIM and account must be registered using the NID of the parent designated as the guardian. The account holder’s name will reflect that of the student’s father or mother.
Nagad has a successful track record in distributing PMEAT stipends.
Md Shamsul Islam, chief corporate affairs officer of Nagad, said, “Nagad has been efficiently distributing various allowances and stipends under the government’s social safety net programs. We believe Nagad will remain the top choice for students and parents receiving these stipends due to our reliable and accessible service.”
In the 2024–25 fiscal year, the government disbursed Tk9,000 crore in social safety net allowances through Nagad, a figure expected to grow this year. Nagad’s extensive cash-out network and lowest withdrawal charges continue to make it a preferred platform for beneficiaries.
