Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has extended his heartfelt greetings and congratulations to the people of the country and the global Muslim Ummah on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr.

In his message, Tarique said Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the largest religious festivals for Muslims, bringing messages of joy, peace, harmony, and brotherhood following a month-long period of fasting, sacrifice, and restraint.

He noted, “The holy month of Ramadan teaches us self-purification, empathy, and human values, which help build mutual cooperation and harmony in society”.

PM further emphasised the importance of reflecting the teachings of Eid in individual, family, social, and state life. “The core significance of Eid is that everyone, regardless of being rich or poor, forgets their differences and becomes bound by ties of mutual love and friendship,” he added.

Tarique also called upon the people to stand by the helpless, poor, and underprivileged members of society to share the joy of Eid with everyone. He expressed his hope that national unity, harmony, and tolerance would be further strengthened through the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Concluding his message, the PM prayed to Almighty Allah for the joy, mercy, and blessings of the holy Eid to be showered upon everyone’s lives and for the country to continue its journey on the path of peace, progress, and prosperity.
