BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has said that no one in the country will be allowed to die without treatment if his party forms the next government, pledging health services for all along with family and agriculture cards.

He made the remarks on Thursday during the third day of his election campaign in Pekua, the coastal upazila of Cox’s Bazar.

Salahuddin began the day by paying respects at the graves of Peer Zafar Shah (R) in Mognama and former member of parliament Mahmudul Karim Chowdhury.

Addressing a roadside rally organised by the Union BNP in Phultala area of Mognama, he said health care would be guaranteed for every citizen. Family cards would be provided to poor households, while farmers would receive agriculture cards offering loans and other benefits.

He also said fair prices for salt would be ensured.

His spouse and former member of parliament Hasina Ahmed, district Olama Dal convener Maulana Ali Ahsan Chowdhury, Pekua Upazila BNP president Bahadur Shah and general secretary Mohammad Iqbal were present, among others.
