Ceramic Expo 2025 opened at the International Convention City Bashundhara on Thursday with exhibitors placing a clear emphasis on technology-driven design solutions for Bangladesh’s fast-evolving construction and interior sectors.
Tilottama Bangla Ltd and its brand MyKitchen have set one of the expo’s most prominent themes this year, showcasing ceramic as a multifunctional material rather than a traditional flooring product. Their pavilion features two flagship innovations: large-format Big Slabs and advanced Precision Cutting services, both positioned as next-generation applications for residential and commercial interiors.
Big Slabs, which provide seamless and jointless surfaces, are being marketed as a premium choice for modern interior architecture. The company says these oversized ceramic panels can be used across living spaces, wall cladding, kitchens, bathrooms, retail interiors and even exterior façades, offering a sleek and expansive aesthetic.
Alongside this, Tilottama’s Precision Cutting service demonstrates how high-strength tiles can be customised into complex shapes and profiles, enabling staircase detailing, designer panels, furniture surfaces, decorative features and bespoke interior elements. The company notes that such applications are possible only with high-density, premium-quality tiles, and not with basic local varieties that lack the required thickness and structural strength.
Tilottama Bangla Ltd said its strategy has been to introduce new surfaces and technologies every year as part of its “total building solutions” approach.
“High-quality ceramic tiles open the door to multiple advanced applications. Beyond conventional flooring, ceramic today stands as a design, architectural and expressive material,” the company said.
The three-day expo brings together tile manufacturers, building-tech innovators, architects and interior specialists, many of whom are seeking to capitalise on Bangladesh’s growing shift toward high-end construction materials.
