Actor Partho Sheikh, who recently received praise for his performance in the romantic drama Amor Prem, is set to appear opposite rising actress Sadnima Binte Noman for the first time in the upcoming drama Alo Chhaya.
Although the two actors worked together on a drama nearly a year ago, that project has yet to be released.
As a result, Alo Chhaya is expected to mark their first on-screen pairing for audiences.
The drama has been directed by Selim Reza, with the screenplay written by Naz Nazma.
Filming took place across various locations in Uttara, Dhaka, from 31 July to 2 August.
The cast also includes Mili Basher, Mahamudul Islam Mithu, Deepa Khandakar, and several other performers.
Expressing his optimism about the project, Partho said he had been overwhelmed by the audience response to Amor Prem.
“I am truly grateful for the love viewers have shown me. Alo Chhaya has a beautiful story. I have worked with Selim Reza before, and he is a director who pays great attention to detail. We have excellent understanding on set. Sadnima is also doing impressive work, and I believe she has a bright future ahead,” he said.
Sharing her thoughts, Sadnima said she was excited to be paired with Partho for the first time on screen.
“I have previously worked in several dramas directed by Selim Reza. Alo Chhaya has a unique story. Although Partha and I acted together before, that drama has not yet been released. So, I hope audiences will consider this our first pairing. Selim Bhai completed the shoot over three days with great care, and I am very optimistic about the project,” she said.
Alongside her acting career, Sadnima works at a private organisation and has been appearing regularly in television dramas.
She completed her BBA from North South University in 2025.
Originally from Bhuapur in Tangail, she was born on 18 January and is the younger of two sisters.
According to the production team, Alo Chhaya will be released soon on a YouTube channel.
