The parliament has decided to set up a high‑level committee to investigate alleged irregularities and corruption in parliamentary purchases, following media reports of widespread misuse.
The move came after publication of a report titled “Loot in Parliament’s Purchases”, said a press release from the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat on Sunday.
Authorities said no bills related to the purchases will be cleared until the committee submits its findings, the release added.
